Mantra Scaffolding recently supplied and erected scaffolding for remedial works to a property in Long Buckby, Northamptonshire. The project required safe access to the chimney as well as extensive access across the front exterior of the building for painting and maintenance work.
The property required a scaffold configuration that would give the trades carrying out the work safe, practical access across several levels while taking into account the building’s position alongside the road and pavement.

Working on a chimney presents particular access challenges because the work is carried out at one of the highest points of a property. A suitable scaffolding system gives the tradespeople carrying out the remedial work a stable platform around the chimney rather than relying on more restricted forms of access.
For this Long Buckby project, the scaffold was extended to provide access around the chimney stack, allowing the required remedial work to be completed safely and efficiently.
